Scoir

Scoir is the platform Aspen High School uses for college exploration, career exploration and it is increasingly how Post-Secondary Counselors communicate with students (since we know they do not check their emails).  Scoir is an Irish Gaelic word that means to transition from one phase to another.

All Juniors are invited to create a SCOIR account.

On SCOIR, colleges come to life through pictures, videos, and links that highlight active student clubs and organizations. This better enables students to identify colleges that are a good fit with their personal and academic interests.

In the spring of junior year, students will indicate in SCOIR the teachers who will be writing their letters of recommendation.Summer before and fall of senior year, SCOIR is extremely important because it’s how students communicate with the Post-Secondary Counseling office about the schools where they will be applying. Ultimately, SCOIR is how AHS electronically delivers the transcript, teacher recs, school profile, counselor recs and other documents that support college applications.Parents are also welcome to register for a SCOIR account if you would like access to the college search tools your student will be using.  Your account will be connected to your childs and you’ll be able to suggest schools to add to your child’s college list.

Students and parents may contact Susanne Morrison, with questions about registering with SCOIR.
