Welcome to AHS! I have been a member of the Aspen High School community for over 15 years, and it is an honor to call this community home. Aspen High School is a magical place with myriad opportunities for all students to find success and develop their passions. We are proud to offer rigorous International Baccalaureate courses to our students; we offer the full IB Diploma, as well as the IB Certificate. All of our 11th grade students take either IB English SL or HL, and one of three different IB Mathematics courses. AHS also has a one of a kind Experiential Education program where all students and staff leave campus for one week each year to grow as individuals, create meaningful connections, get out of their comfort zones, and learn through authentic experiences. In addition, we have 24 varsity sports, as well as club sport opportunities, and over 70% of our students participate in at least one of these sports. Our dedicated staff have students’ social & emotional needs at the forefront of all that we do, and our counseling staff ensure that students seek their own individual paths to make their dreams come true. We are grounded in our Design Principles: We nurture the whole child. We value authentic learning. We are principled. We share connectedness. We embrace challenge. And we truly aspire to be that “School on a Mountain” that others look to for inspiration.
